The land of the golden coyote and the ancient, red-ribboned earth of California’s majestic Death Valley spans twelve thousand feet of vertical elevation between Bad Water and Telescope Peak. When the sun breaks at dawn over Kingston Peak, the California Juniper trees emit warm pollen on the wind that fills the air with a candy-like flavor, coating mineral-rich stones in a fine yellow dust.

A land of perilous adventure, one that is as different at night as it is during the day, to such a grand degree that you might as well be describing the difference between the sun and the moon. A stark landscape, full of elegant and hardy wildflowers, at once fragile and eternal, a million years of sunshine are captured in this campfire inspired incense.

No hidden ingredients. No charcoal or perfume.

Size 20 sticks

Scent Cinnamon, desert campfire, woodstove.

Ingredients Wildcrafted plants, tree sap, wood, and bamboo stick.

Juniper Ridge is a small company located in California. At Juniper Ridge, they formulate their wilderness perfumes by distilling and extracting fragrance from wildflowers, plants, bark, moss, mushrooms, and tree trimmings that we harvest on the trail. All of their products are named for the wild places they come from. Their company is built on the simple idea that nothing smells better than the forest and that the only way to bring this beauty home is to strap on your boots and go there.

All of the plants they use are wildharvested with the utmost sensitivity and respect for the existing wildscape. They return to the same stands year after year to carefully monitor regrowth. They never use alien or invasive species and are actively involved in native plant restoration projects from San Diego to Seattle. 10% of all of their profits are annually donated to a portfolio of Western Wilderness Defense organizations. Juniper Ridge revels in the intact forest habitats of the West, and tirelessly work to promote education as to how best to protect them.
